About the role

Powerco is well positioned, with leading health and safety performance in our industry and well-established systems and processes. We are seeking two new HSE Business Partners to join us on our health and safety journey. Ideally the roles would be located in Wellington and Palmerston North, however we’re keen to consider great applicants who may be outside these areas.

Join our Corporate Services team at an exciting time, as we transition to operational ownership of health and safety outcomes.

In this role you’ll start by getting to know our business and service providers so you can work with them to ensure safe outcomes for our people, our service providers and our communities.

Skills & Experience

It’s not the be all and end all, but we’d be stoked if you have:

  • Proactive approach to HSE
  • Ability to influence operational leaders towards good decision making
  • Field coaching experience
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse teams
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and challenge failure models
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience as an HSE professional
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
