Job Title: Registered Nurse (Night Duty) Team Leader
Location: Wellington 
Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week, permanent
Salary: Excellent Salary up to $104'000 depending on experience plus benefits and relocation package available

  • As the Registered Nurse (Night Duty) Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, guidance and support for all hospital clinical staff members. You will ensure care is provided to patients in accordance with the appropriate professional and company
    standards. As well as:
    •    Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and other staff
    •    Manage recruitment and orientation of new staff
    •    Maximise the education and development of staff and self
    •    Manage all equipment and unit resources in an effective and cost-efficient manner
    •    Promote, monitor and participate in all quality improvement activities

Skills & experience required for this Registered Nurse (Night Duty) Team Leader opportunity

The successful candidate will possess: 

Bring your proven leadership capabilities and proven leadership capabilities into this exciting role, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy growing and strengthening the team.
As the Registered Nurse (Night Duty) Team Leader, you will be exceptionally organised and have experience leading people. You will also demonstrate and have the following qualities/skills:
•    Current New Zealand Nursing Council annual practicing certifiticate
•    At least 3 years experience in peroperative nursing
•    Previous experience in Surgical (preferred) 
•    Clinical competence in preforming pre-operative tests such as phlebotomy and ECGa
•    Excellent communication both written and oral 
•    Ability to work autonomously
•    Ability to coach, mentor and train others 
•    Highly skilled in time and organisational management 
This is a permanent position for 80 hours per fortnight
