Would you like to join an exciting research project in Hawke’s Bay? The Eastern Institute of Technology is looking for Research Fellows to express their interest in joining the growing Nourishing Hawke’s Bay (NHB) He wairua tō te kai team in the coming months.
Whiriwhiria, kia ora ai te tamaiti is the latest arm of the ongoing NHB project and will be funded by A Better Start from the National Science Challenges.
NHB started in 2020 and until now has concentrated on food security, mātauranga Māori, nutrition, and food in culture, including a focus on the government lunch programme Ka Ora, Ka Ako.
Whiriwhiria, kia ora ai te tamaiti (weave it together, that the child may live a full life) will have a broader focus, including examining the impact of the food system and mātauranga Maori on learning and resilience.
We are seeking two research fellows to join the team. If you are an experienced research fellow, wanting to join a vibrant community-based research project, with skills in some of the following areas, this position is for you:
Quantitative and/or qualitative research
Kaupapa Māori research methods
These positions are fulltime, fixed term until the end of June 2024.
