Maintenance Operative

In this position, you will undertake a mix of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and a mix of other interesting duties that would require some training.

The role is responsible for maintenance and operations support, key tasks and responsibilities are as follows:

• Maintenance of all plant equipment (Planned, Routine , Breakdown);
• Mechanical works;
• Fault finding and repairs to equipment.;
• Monitoring of mechanical equipment;
• Use of work shop equipment - operating lathe, mill/drill, welding equipment, tools;
• Undertaking designated operations duties;
• Monitoring of operations when tasked with this duty.

Experience:

• Provide hands-on mechanical experience;
• Exposure to ‘process’ industry and basic understanding of various technologies and processes is preferable;
• Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors;
• Ability to fault find on mechanical equipment;
• Proven problem solving skills.

Exposure to industrial plant or commercial buildings and associated services will be a distinct advantage;
along with and Engineering or Technical background.
