One of NZ's most well-respected packaging production companies is looking for a administration and sales star.  

They design and manufacture environmentally sustainable and beautifully printed packaging for some of NZ's biggest brands and companies in the FMCG market.


In this role you will work closely with a Senior Account Manager & the broader team, supporting them, learning and developing your skillset.  Mastering your industry and product knowledge to become an Account Manager.

  • Starting as a Sales Cadet, learning about briefs, spec’s, estimating, design through to manufacturing, warehousing and dispatch.
  • Work closely with a Key Account Manager, liaise and learn from his Accounts and take over some day-to-day management of clients.
  • Receive inbound sales inquiries, and work together with your team, to create and customize innovate solutions.
  • Create business opportunities, through the presentation of innovative design, improved and more sustainable offerings and out-the-box thinking.
  • Identify sales leads and market opportunities and work on converting strategies.
  • Sell the companies’ reputation of providing the “highest service and quality” in the market.
  • Provide consistent top level customer service.
  • Proactively identify customers needs through quick and clear communications.
  • Form long term business partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work cohesively with a large team.
  • Meeting clients, prospects and industry partners.      Attend meetings, networking events and functions. 
  • Learn to and maintain sales statistics.  Analyse and interpret results.


Tertiary Qualified in Commerce, Marketing or similar with a keen interest in working for an innovative packaging manufacturer – where the packaging strongly influences buyer behaviour.

  • An interest in a sales career in a market that requires good technical knowledge, intelligence, problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a professional, engaging, friendly and confident manner.
  • Well- developed and professional verbal and written communication style.
  • Be a team player.
  • Genuine focus on providing and cultivating a culture of outstanding customer service - both externally and internally.
  • Work well under pressure and are able to use initiative and prioritize tasks while providing impeccable detail, focus and follow-up skills.
  • Computer savvy with quick accurate data entry skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly.  Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • A high level of motivation and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle pressure.
  • Full & clean DL is essential for this role (or if on restricted you must be able to obtain your full in the next 6-months).


  • Depending on experience it could be anything from a $55K (for new grad) to $70K (for some good office or sales experience of 3+ years).
