About the Role: Max People have opportunities for Formworkers, Carpenters & hammerhands to help construct a $20 million dollar upgrade of a water-system in Central Otago!
You will be working on a large wastewater tank, nearly twice the size of an Olympic size swimming pool. Joining the crew of civil labourers, hammerhands, formworkers & Carpenters you will get to work on this massive commercial build from start until completion!
Formworker Carpenters will be required to first build a test wall 5 meters high followed by the tank.
Negotiable daily $50.00 fuel allowance for candidates commuting daily to Wanaka from outside areas
What You Will Be Doing:
Base build concrete re-enforced slab
Steel fix by others
Set out according to plans and engineers' specifications
Standard formwork shutters and slims
Erect large wastewater tank - 75 meters long by 5 meters high
Panels will be lifted in place by crane
Tie panels together with tie bar and wing nuts
Install propping
Learn some new formwork techniques
May be required to do some EWP work
What We Need from you:
Hand and power tools
Sound knowledge of construction materials, fixings and timbers including their species, treatment, and sizes
Site Safe is an advantage
Experience in commercial or civil projects necessary
