Faith Construction and Consulting LTD is a well-established Auckland based construction company. The business is growing and expanding, and we are looking for two Construction Assistants to join our team to work across multiple sites within Auckland.

This permanent role is full time and weekly work hours range from 40 to 60. A successful candidate will be required to work 5-6 days per week. In return, we offer a supporting and friendly working environment and competitive pay rates ($27.76-$29.00/h) commensurate with your experience.

Task and responsibilities:

• Loading or unloading, storing, fetching building supplies, materials, and tools and equipment, and transporting them around building sites
• Assisting in setting up the job site and preparing the surface and layouts with the instruction of the team leader
• Acquiring, mixing and spreading materials or mixtures
• Erecting and repairing temporary structures and facilities on building sites
• Assisting with cutting and shaping materials to the specification when necessary
• Performing tasks as directed by the supervisor to include assisting in material laying work
• Cleaning job site once the work is done and clean tools
• Gathering all supplies and tools at the end of the day, and ensure that they are put away in a safe and accessible place

Successful candidates will have

• At least 6 months work experience in construction industry is required
• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit and have good eye for details
• High safety awareness and compliance; ability to undertake heavy lifting
