Their channel to market is through specialist Electrical Integrators, Electricians, Electrical Wholesalers, Interiors Designers, Architects and Engineers, who are accustomed to the absolute best products, industry leading training, excellent design, sales, and technical support. 

 On their behalf, we are seeking a relationship focused Account Manager, who will partner with the customer base, strengthen relationships, support, and add value to their business, while constantly seeking opportunities to grow their spend.

We seek a salesperson who is also equally comfortable to put on their Business Development hat and will confidently target and prospect suitable new business opportunities.


 The Role:

  • Sales and account management activities to increase business from specialist Electrical Integrators, Electricians and Electrical Wholesalers. 
  • Sales and Account management activities to ensure the specification of products into projects by Interiors Designers, Architects and Engineers 
  • Managing relationships with all customers, to enable sales growth
  • Proactively and strategically target and develop sales with new customers 
  • Add value to your clients by understanding their needs and offer the right solutions
  • Assist customer partners to expand their own expertise by providing training and support
  • Become a trusted client partner, and generate ongoing business opportunities
  • Be involved in customer projects. Offers advice, problem solves, assists with any issues.
  • Prepare pricing and job quoting.
  • Networking and building relationships with both existing and new customers
  • Securing opportunities to quote and be invited to work on repeat projects 
  • Develop a pipeline of upcoming work and projects, ensuring strong commercial relationships are in place
  • Identify opportunities to increase client satisfaction and grow the business 
  • Continually strives to close sales and increase market

The right person will be focused on developing a strong market presence, ensuring the company is “front of mind” when a project is in planning stage and will secure opportunities to quote on projects at every opportunity.


About You:

  • Demonstrate high level relationship management skills - ensuring proactive, helpful customer contact
  • Proven experience identifying new business growth opportunities, with a strategic sales focus. 
  • Is credible and knowledgeable and gains the respect of clients. They look forward to your visit.
  • Enjoys networking and building industry contacts. It is not a chore!
  • A strong capability in sales process, organisation and planning
  • Has experience working with the A & D, Electrical Contracting, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering markets
  • Preference will be for those with building control/ automation industry experience or comparable industry experience.
  • A thirst for learning and will put effort into growing their product knowledge
  • Tenacious, enthusiastic, positive, have a “Make it happen” attitude.
  • A contributing and collaborative team member 
  • A drive to consistently exceed customer expectations.
