Are you looking for a job that gives you variety, independence and growth? We are looking for a fantastic individual to join us as a Facilities Maintenance Operator.

Building Service Contractors of NZ (BSCNZ) is the trade association for the NZ Cleaning industry - we represent many employers who require the services of Commercial Cleaners and associated services throughout NZ.

You will be employed directly by one of our Members who will provide you with an Employment Agreement, uniform, and any required PPE.  Previous experience is essential.

The Shift Details:

• Shifts will vary depending on business demand but will generally be 8-10 hours
• 3.00 pm – 11.00 pm or 8.00 am – 4.30 pm (indication only)
• 30+ hours per week guaranteed.
• You will need to be flexible and willing to work nights and weekends as required to fit in with business demands

About the role

We are looking for a fantastic individual to join our global company as a Facilities Maintenance Operator. You will be involved in general cleaning as well as specialist cleaning and your tasks may include scrubs, buffing, glass cleaning, strip and seals, carpet cleaning, water blasting, cleaning at heights, and special technical work. You will be given full training, however prior experience in commercial cleaning, machine operation or similar trades/services will be highly beneficial to your success in the role.

This role will involve a full-time commitment of 40 plus hours per week, working outside normal trading hours and during weekends, as needed. However, your killer organisational skills and flexibility will allow you to own this role and ensure your ability to stay on top!

You will mainly carry out tasks at commercial and industrial sites, however we will expect to eventually train you on trauma cleans on other sites. Your wellbeing is very important to us and If needed, we will provide you support in managing your wellbeing surrounding this type of work.

As the role will involve cleaning at heights, you will need to be comfortable with height and harness work.

• Strip and Seal,
• Water blasting,
• Handyman Services,
• Installations,
• Roof Cleaning,
• Buffing and polishing
• Building Cleaning External,
• Window Cleaning
• Trauma cleans
• and the list goes on ….

WHAT DO I NEED?

• Full MANUAL drivers’ licence
• Heights Training desirable or any High risk work training.
• Reliability and motivation to want to do a great job every time for this client..
• You must have an eye for detail.
• Be fit and healthy - as this a manual job and is hard work!
• Moderate lifting is involved in this role.
• Have nil convictions and be able to pass a Ministry of Justice Security check.
• Ability to work unsupervised
• You must be able to speak, read and write English to a good level, as all H&S and instructions are in English only.
• Great organisational skills
• Ability to think outside the square
• No Criminal convictions
