Days of Work: Monday to Sunday by roster

Hours of Work: guaranteed 30 hours per week

Job description:  

  1. Knows proper function, operations, maintenance and cleaning of various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
  2. Check food and ingredients for freshness to ensure the quality
  3. Prepares and cooks food in the menu
  4. Seasons food according to recipes or customers’ need
  5. Portions, arranges, and garnishes food to the required standard
  6. Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation
  7. Assists in planning new dishes
  8. Keep a sanitized and orderly environment as per kitchen sanitation guidelines. Practice the ‘clean as you go’ theory.
  9. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  10. Meets with customers to ensure a great meal experience
  11. Have a positive attitude regarding job and communication with management and fellow crew
  12. Follows cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures

 

Job pre-requisites:

  1. At least one year relevant experience, alternatively having a cookery qualification at Level 2 or above is acceptable
  2. Eyes for details and a hard-working attitude;
