WILDLANDS IS LOOKING FOR A HERPETOFAUNA ECOLOGIST THAT BELIEVES IN BETTER QUALITY ENVIRONMENTS – BASED IN WELLINGTON.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

A talented and passionate herpetofauna ecologist who has a thorough understanding of best-practice lizard monitoring programmes, surveys and inventories.

Someone who values diversity, and enjoys supporting a team of senior ecologists.

MUST HAVE:

  • Consultancy experience (desirable)
  • Post Graduate Degree in Ecology, Lizards, Biology or related field
  • Strong New Zealand ecology knowledge
  • Sound field skills covering a range of ecosystems, habitats, and taxa, preferably with specialist knowledge of particular species/groups, particularly lizards
  • Comprehensive knowledge of herpetology and ecological management
  • Report writing skills
  • Ability to communicate on appropriate technical and commercial levels to a diverse range of current potential clients

Hours: Preferred hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (flexibility will be considered).
