Hasco Solutions are recruiting this role on behalf of our industry leading client within the packaging industry. Our client is a specialist manufacturer and key product partner to many of Australia’s leading brands. With multi-international operations they supply customers in both Asia and Oceania.

We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Fitter and Turner – Die/Setter/Operators that are interested in career progression, development and becoming part of a great team environment. You will be confident in your knowledge and experience within assembly and production. Your knowledge of manufacturing, fitting, setting, high speed/volume production, palletiser and or robotics experience essential

Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
  • Production process support through maintenance, continuous improvement and engineering activities
  • Assisting in the investigation of product, equipment and process failures
  • Responding rapidly to breakdowns and urgent works required
  • Working towards deadlines and required standards
  • Supporting process improvement objectives
  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery
  • Following OH&S policies and procedures
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Mechanical Fitter trade qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Fitter – Die Setter/Operator within a high speed/volume production environment
  • Experience in the production of cans is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to rapidly respond to breakdowns
  • Ability to work within a fast paced environment and adhere to standards and practices
  • Experience in the installation of and commission of new equipment and machinery is highly desirable
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
  • The right to work in Australia and available for full time hours
  • Current Medical (within the last 3 months) or be prepared to get a pre-employment medical examination and drug/alcohol test as part of the recruitment process
