Concrete Worker, Reinforcing Worker, Plaster and Tiler
Full-time Concrete workers, Reinforcing Workers, Plaster and Tilers are required.
Join in a friendly and small team. Ideal candidates should come from a relevant training background or have relevant 3 years working experience in the construction or interior design industry, plus "can do" attitude. We prefer workers to work 5 days a week and must be onsite on time.
You will be working on both residential and commercial buildings; reading and interpreting architectural plans; understanding the building methodology and materials, and have the knowledge of building and safety regulations.

Check the formworks that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed
Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them
Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rakes, shovel, hand or power trow
el, hand or power screed, and float.
Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge
Produce rough concrete surface, using a broom
Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
Cut and fit wire mesh or fabric, using hooked rods, and position fabric or mesh in concrete to reinforce concrete.
Cut rods to required lengths, using metal shears, hacksaws, bar cutters, or acetylene torches.
Bend steel rods with hand tools and rod-bending machines, and weld them with arc-welding equipment.
Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.
Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, and hand tools.
Applies coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings, to produce finished surface, according to blueprints, architect's drawings, or oral instructions, using handtools and portable power tools: Directs workers to mix plaster to desired consistency and to erect scaffolds.
Spreads plaster over lath or masonry base, using a trowel, and smooths plaster with darby and float to attain uniform thickness.
Applies scratch, brown, or finish coats of plaster to wood, metal, or board lath successively.
Creates decorative textures in finish coat by marking surface of a coat with brush and trowel or by spattering surface with pebbles.
Roughens undercoat with scratcher to provide bond for succeeding coats of plaster.

clean and prepare surfaces
lay liquid waterproof membrane in showers and bathrooms
make and lay adhesives for tiles to be laid on
cut, shape and lay tiles
grout, seal and polish tiles.
Applicants for these positions should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
