Purpose of Position:
The Fabricator Welder is an important team member, who is responsible for the fabrication of new products and the maintenance and repair of other items as directed.
General Tasks (Not an exhaustive list):
Use of general workshop tools and machinery
Competent use of Mig and Stick welders
Operation of guillotine and brake press machinery
Manufacture of items to workshop drawings
Maintenance and adherence of organisation paperwork requirements
Legislation and Policy:
Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (and any subsequent amendments), and the E-quip Health and Safety Policy.
Ensure compliance with any other relevant legislation
Comply with all E-quip policies and procedures
Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the employer.
Ideally, we are seeking a person with experience working in an engineering or general workshop environment, with a good understanding of workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Have knowledge or experience in a fabrication welding type role, in an engineering or similar environment
Hold or be capable of obtaining a welders certification
A good knowledge and adherence to the health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures
Current and unrestricted drivers licence
Excellent communication skills
Ability to provide a clear pre-employment drug and alcohol test
A drivers licence forklift endorsement
Self-motivated and proactive
Ability to prioritise tasks
Analytic and problem-solving skills
Well organised and a desire to maintain high standards
A high level of attention to detail
