Maaori Research Advisor (Full time or Part time), Ko Awatea, CM Health

We are looking to recruit a talented Research Advisor to join the Ko Awatea Research and Evaluation and the Maaori Health Development teams based at Middlemore Hospital. The role requires a person with a high knowledge of kaupapa Māori, an excellent understanding of research, and experience of both of these in the health sector. This position could be either a full time or part time position working Monday to Friday based at Middlemore Hospital.
You will review study applications, assist investigators to meet legislative requirements in regard to the public legislative requirements relating to the Public Health and Disability Act 2000. You will also provide Maaori cultural research advice for CM Health research projects and will participate in Ko Awatea research and evaluation projects as required.
The ideal candidate will have a post-graduate qualification in health, Maaori studies, research, science or other relevant field with at least 3 years Maaori health experience in research, data analysis and/or evaluation. You must have an understanding of Public Health and Maaori Health and the ability to speak Te Reo Maaori to succeed in this role.
